After the murder of The Notorious B.I.G., Mace‘s religious awakening, and the LOX jumping ship, Black Rob came on the scene right when Bad Boy Records needed him most. His verses on Puff‘s “Bad Boys For Life” and G. Dep‘s “Let’s Get It” are classics in their own right. But it was Rob’s 2000 debut single “Whoa!” that made fans take notice. I honor of his passing, take a listen.
