Actress Regina King has been added to the cast of NBC’s pilot crime drama “LAPD” in the role of Lydia a detective in the Hollywood division.
Ms. King joins Michael McGrady (“Las Vegas,” “Daybreak”) and Kevin Alejandro (“Shark”), who also play detectives, with Benjamin McKenzie, of “The O.C.,” negotiating for a spot on the show.
Ms. King, who wrapped up season 2 of Cartoon Network’s “The Boondocks” earlier this year (she voices the characters of Huey Freeman and Riley Freeman on the animated series), is no stranger to network television. She played Sandra Palmer the sister of President Wayne Palmer on the last season of Fox’s “24” and can be seen later this year in Lifetime’s “Living Proof.”
