Sony Pictures TV has drafted retired Super Bowl champion Michael Strahan to star in it’s newest sitcom pilot for Fox.
In an case of art imitating life the former New York Giant will star opposite Daryl ‘Chill’ Mitchell as a retire football player who returns hometown in a bid to reconnect with his family. Mitchell will play his wheelchair bound brother (Mitchell himself has been confined to a wheelchair following a motorcycle accident in 2001).
Strahan is already a Fox employee, he’s an analyst for the network’s football show “Fox NFL Sunday.”
