Love and Hip Hop star Tahiry was recently on The Real and spoke about declining the wedding proposal from then boyfriend, Joe Budden. The last time the couple was seen on the show, Joe was down on one knee proposing. She explained to the ladies on The Real that she does not regret her decision and still stands by it to this day.
“I don’t regret it. I didn’t know I was that brave to. It was closing one of the most important chapters of my life on national TV.” She went on to say, “I had to do what was best for me, people loved us together but none of that mattered if the relationship wasn’t healthy.”
The hosts asked about the current relationship between the two and Tahiry replied:
“On film, off film, we’re just fly together. We just have fun. It’s weird. For somebody who has done so much in the past, for me to be able to just look past that and be over it and still enjoy him, it’s cool.”
Tahiry, Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones are expected to make a return on the upcoming season of LHHNY. Chrissy was recently on The Real as well and was asked about plans for marriage between she and long-time boyfriend, Jim Jones. Chrissy confessed that she proposed to Jim Jones 8 years ago. While they didn’t go through with it then, marriage just isn’t a priority now. She says that they are in “a good place.”
The new season is set to air on on VH1 on December 16.
