Rapper/actor LL Cool J is returning to the small screen.
The 41-year-old star of “Mindhunters” has been added to the cast of the new, as-yet-untitled, spin-off of CBS’ “NCIS.”
Cool J, a.k.a. Todd Smith, will play a former Navy SEAL working undercover for the Los Angeles branch of the NCIS unit.
The new show will premiere later this season in a 2-hour crossover with “NCIS.”
LL Cool J, whose acting career spans 23 years, last regularly appeared on television in the 1995 sitcom “In the House” which ran for 4 season.
