Comedian Kevin Hart has been named the new host of BET’s long running stand-up comedy show, “Comic View.”
Along with a new host the show will also undergo a slight name change to “Comic View: One Mic Stand.” Past hosts of the show have seen their careers skyrocket after their departure including Cedric the Entertainer and D.L. Hughley.
Mr. Hart’s BET partnership doesn’t end with “View,” the “Superhero Movie“ star recently completed a reality show pilot for the network. On the show, “I Ain’t Scared,” Mr. Hart travels the country participating in off beat activities. In addition to his BET connection, Mr. Hart has several other projects in the works. He’ll be featured along side Morris Chestnut and Taraji P. Henson in the upcoming Screen Gems film “Not Easily Broken,” and has been cast in two Comedy Central’s projects, tentatively titled “Krod Mandoon” and the “Flaming Sword of Fire.”
Currently Mr. Hart can be seen in Eddie Murphy’s “Meet Dave.”
