Courtney B. Vance has been cast in ABC’s forthcoming Sci-Fi pilot “Flash Forward.” “Forward” is based on a novel by Robert J. Sawyer’s about a 2 minutes and 17 second blackout experienced by everyone in the world, during which they have a vision of the future.
No stranger to law enforcement roles, Vance, who played an assistant D.A. on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” will portray FBI’s L.A. bureau chief Stan Wedeck.
Actor Jack Davenport has also been added to the pilot as Lloyd Simcoe, a man is trapped in Northern California when the worldwide blackout happens and hushes to reach his son’s bedside in a Southland hospital.
David S. Goyer (“Blade”) is directing the pilot and sharing executive producer credits with Brannon Braga (Threshold), Jessika Borsiczky Goyer, Vince Gerardis and Ralph M. Vicinanza.
