Clifton Powell has landed on HBO. Mr. Powell, who was last featured as Sergeant Green in the Keanu Reeves crime drama “Street Kings” has signed on to HBO’s upcoming pilot, “Last of the Ninth.”
From NYPD Blue creator David Milch “Last of the Ninth” revolves around police corruption in New York City during the 1970s.
Fellow cast members include, Fredric Lehne (“Supernatural“) and Michael Raymond-James, who’s also starring in HBO’s new vampire series, “True Blood.”
Mr. Powell has a long history on television appearing in everything form Steven Bochco’s “Cop Rock” in 1990, “Martin” in 1992 to “Murder, She Wrote.” But one of his more memorable characters was that of Andre in the early 90s sitcom “Roc.”
