The former NBA star Matt Barnes posted his latest tat on Instagram, a portrait of slain rapper, Nipsey Hussle.
Barnes, who’s resume includes stints with the Lakers, Warriors, and Kings, joins a notable list of celebrates expressing their fondness for the Cali rapper through ink. Lauren London, Hussle’s long time partner, debuted a portrait shortly after his death. As did Rick Ross and The Game.
Southern California-based tattoo artist Steve Butcher, who inked up Lonzo Ball‘s epic sleeve of historic black leaders, also completed Barnes’ hand tat.
Hussle was assassinated outside his Marathon Clothing store on March 31st in Los Angeles, CA. In his death the many efforts he took to better the community he grew up in have been the source of admiration of fans and those not familiar with his music. He was 33.
