Bill Kapri, better known as Kodak Black, is still making moves from behind the walls. According to an Instagram post last Tuesday from his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, Kodak’s team is preparing to pass out thousands in Publix gift cards for the holidays, “@kodakblack as usual with every Thanksgiving and Christmas starts gifting early and this year, besides giving to charitable organizations like recently providing thanking dinner to 75 needy families for Paradise Childcare, childcare for low income families in need…he is giving away 1000s of dollars in Publix gift cards directly to needy families in Broward and Dade County for Thanksgiving.”

The Grammy-nominated rapper is no stranger to giving back to his community and just recently provided thanksgiving dinner to 75 families at a low income childcare facility in Florida. In 2018 he donated $10,000 to Jack and Jill’s Children’s Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has also donated $12,000 to an independent School district in Texas.

In early November a federal judge sentenced the Florida rapper to 46 months in prison for lying about his criminal record while attempting to purchase six pistols on two separate occasions at Lou’s Police and Security Equipment in Hialeah, Florida. One of the guns was later found at the site of a shooting in Pompano Beach in March.

Prosecutors had sort a 46- to 57-month sentence, but Kodak’s lawyer requested less time, pointing out his history of charitable work.
