In the on-going child custody case between singer Usher Raymond and his ex-wife Tameka Foster, Usher took to the stand on Monday (May 21) to give testimony.
Foster’s attorneys took the opportunity to grill Usher for hours on allegations made by Foster herself that he is a drug addicted neglectful dad. On accusations that he is addicted to ecstasy, Usher denied the claim and admitted that he has used marijuana. At one point the Grammy winner broke down in tears as Foster’s lawyers produced photographs of the singer at a European party last February, insinuating he’d rather live the party life then care for his children.
Foster’s lawyers are trying to convince a judge that Usher is an unfit parent and their client deserves full custody of the former couple’s two children, and of course more child support. Usher, meanwhile, just wants see his kids more often.
The couple were married for merely two years, divorcing in 2009.
