Reddick was discovered lifeless in his hotel room on Friday morning, March 17. His death was confirmed by his representative, Mia Hansen, who stated Reddick “passed away suddenly of natural causes.”
Many were introduced to Reddick, and will remember him for his stoic portrayal of Lieutenant Cedric Daniels in the early 2000s, critically acclaimed series, ‘The Wire‘. In the years that followed Reddick took on a number of high profile projects in film and TV series, often bringing intensity to roles on ‘Lost‘, ‘Jonah Hex‘, ‘Fringe‘, ‘White House Down‘, and ‘John Wick‘. He was also the voice behind many video game characters including Ra’s Al Ghul in ‘Beware the Batman‘, Sylens in ‘Horizon‘, and Commander Zavala in ‘Destiny‘.
Fans of the 1990s police drama, New York Undercover, would remember Reddick as Oscar Griffin, a single-episode role that birthed an credible career.
