Looks like Usher will be putting the microphone down for a a while as he plots his return to acting. According to the singer himself, who in the past has appeared is critically acclaimed films such as ‘Light It Up‘, ‘She’s All That‘ and ‘The Faculty‘, he’s been cast to play boxing legend, Sugar Ray Leonard.
Usher, it’s being reported, will portray Leonard in the upcoming film about the life and career of Panamanian boxer Roberto Duran, “Hands of Stone.”
Production on the film, which also stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and ‘True Blood”s Ryan Kwanten, is set to start later this year.
