Earlier this month New England Patriots Safety, Patrick Chung, was indicated on cocaine possession following what is described as, “a quantity of the controlled drug cocaine”, police found in Chung’s home in Meredith, New Hampshire on June 25 while they were responding to “a call for service”.
It’s not clear why police were called to the home, but they did not take Chung into custody. An investigation was initiated and prosecutors worked towards getting a grand jury indictment, according to Belknap County Attorney Andrew Livernois.
Chung, a 10-year NFL vet and three-time Super Bowl champion, is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday (Aug 28) in Belknap County. Cocaine possession is a Class B felony in New Hampshire.
The Patriots released a statement acknowledging Chung’s legal issues but, “will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place.”
