There’s no question the Wilsons are a football family, and that couldn’t be more true as husband and wife, Russell Wilson and Ciara, expand their sports affiliations by joining the ownership group of Seattle’s Sounders Fútbol Club.
R&B singer, Ciara excitedly announced the new business venture on twitter, saying, “…we’re Team Owners of the Seattle @SoundersFC one of the best soccer franchises in the world! Can’t wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer.” Wilson echco the same on his Twitter feed,
Football. Fútbol. We Love them both! @ciara and I are fired up to announce we are Team Owners of the Seattle @SoundersFC one of the best soccer franchises in the world! We can’t wait for our kids to grow up loving Soccer! Family is everything! #SoundersIsFamily ⚽️💚💙 pic.twitter.com/LbOCt7WI5i

Rapper Macklemore also threw his hat onto the field joining Ciara and Wilson on the ownership group.
Wilson remains the starting QB for the Seattle Seahawks and has been making efforts to transition from sports player to sports team owner, including being an investor in the Portland Diamond Project, with the goal of bringing Major League Baseball to Portland. He had also been working to bring a new basketball arena to Seattle, hoping to attract an NBA team to the city.
