The two halves of Outkast joined forces once again on Saturday (May 11) in celebration of Big Boi‘s son, Cross, who graduated from Woodward Academy in College Park in metro Atlanta with honors.
Big Boi, real name Anton Patton, beamed with pride in photos shared on Instagram, posting, “It’s been 1 hell of a journey, raising 3 Kids, private school to College Degrees, never woulda thought this Rap S— would have brought me here, To God be the Glory, #ThanksJesus Let’s Go Cross !”
Cross is the youngest of Big Boi’s three kids, will head to the University of Oregon to continue his education where he’ll play football for the school’s division I team, the Oregon Ducks.
André 3000, who’s stayed under the radar for many years, was at Big Boi’s side to share in the moment.
André was also present for the 2018 graduation of Big Boi’s other son, André “Bamboo” Patton II.
When Big Boi preformed at the Super Bowl 53 Halftime show this past February, André 3000 was notable absent. The duo’s last album was 2006’s Idlewild.
