Chris Brown is now a convicted felon after the pleading guilty yesterday (June 22) to felony assault by means likely to cause great bodily injury in a L.A. courtroom.
The 20-year old Brown decided not to risk a trial in the assault case against him for beating up his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, opting to instead cop a plea with prosecutors.

In the deal, which calls for no jail time, Brown will be placed on probation for the next 5 years; have to complete 180 hours of community service; attend domestic violence classes for a year; and stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna at all times (with the exception being industry events, when he must stay 10 yards away from her).
The 50-yard rule was imposed in spite of a request by Rihanna’s representatives that it not be part of the plea barging.
