NBC all but cancels heavily hyped medical series weeks after its debut.
Execs at the peacock network fell short of announcing the official cancellation of their newest series Trauma when it was revealed that NBC has no plans to order more episodes of the Derek Luke and Cliff Curtis drama beyond the 13 it already has.
Ratings for the heavily promoted series have so far failed to live up to expectations, with the exception of a slight bump in the ratings this week as CBS’ shows go on repeat.
Despite the bad news, NBC will continue to air new episodes of the show until the end.
