Lindsay Lohan got a shock when she entered her home yesterday morning (Aug. 23) to discover her Hollywood Hills pad had been burglarized.
An LAPD spokesman confirmed the breaking saying, “All we can confirm is that we are investigating a possible break in at the residence and we still have officers on the scene. We got a call shortly before 7a.m. on Sunday and it’s still under investigation. No arrests have been made.”
Despite the LAPD’s ongoing investigation, the —- star’s father Michael Lohan is convinced the robbery was an inside job, “I’m sick of people bugging my daughter and using her. This is not the first time she’s been robbed. I’m working with the police but at the same time, I have my own people.
“I’ve hired private investigators and I’m going to work my own investigation and find out who did this. Lindsay is not OK. She’s very upset and feels extremely violated.
“I’m just happy Ali and Lindsay weren’t home at the time. But I feel that they were kept out of the house for a reason. This was definitely an inside job.”
This is the second time this year that Lohan’s home, which she shares with her sister Ali, has been broken into. In May thieves were captured on surveillance cameras entering the house but ran off after the security alarm was triggered.
Lohan’s mother Dina said the crooks managed to make off with jewelry and personal items this time around, “The safe was ripped out of the wall, and the door was off the hinges and door handles removed. Bags, shoes and jewelery were taken too.”
