The man who raised Swae Lee and his brother Slim Jxmmi, of the rap group Rae Sremmurd, was shot and killed on Monday night. According to TMZ, the rap duo’s 19 year-old brother, Michael Brown, is in custody.
Police were dispatched to a Tupelo, Mississippi home on Monday night where they found the duo’s stepfather, Floyd Sullivan, dead from multiple gunshots.
The 62 year-old Sullivan helped raise the boys since they were preteens. Brown, who also goes by Jamil Ali Sullivan, was “immediately arrested for murder,” following a psychiatric evaluation, according a police statement to People.

So far there have been no other arrest made in connection to the shooting.
