2019 has been the year of reboots. That’s So Raven came back with its own spin-off, High School Musical was redone, and a few more. But I think the one that Brandy hinted at will be much more of a nostalgic hit. Yep that’s right Moesha is making its way back to your television.
The show first aired in 1996, starring Brandy in the title role of Moesha, who went through ups and downs while navigating being a teenager, whether that was fighting with friends or checking out the latest cutie, and even getting into it with her stepmom.
The show was canceled abruptly in 2001 leaving fans all over the world without any resolution to the story lines or the characters.
Brandy was recently asked by fellow cast member Sheryl Lee Ralph about the show, and Brandy’s reply, ”Yeah! I’m here to solidify that we are going to bring Moesha back.”
Unfortunately, although fans should be excited to hear that the show might return in the future, it won’t be the same without Bernie Mac, Lamont Bentley, and Yvette Wilson, who all passed away since the show’s been off the air.
Along with Brandy and Sheryl Lee Ralph, Moesha also starred William Allen Young, Marcus T. Paulk, Countess Vaughn, Ray J, Shar Jackson, and Fredro Starr.
