Variety reports that Brad Pitt has been cast in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino World War II pic, “Inglorious Bastards.“
In the flick Mr. Pitts plays a Tennessee hillbilly who leads a group of Jewish-American soldiers against the Germans.
Mr. Pitt will star along side director Eli Roth stars as Sergeant Donnie Donnowitz in the movie. BJ Novak (“The Office”), Simon Pegg (“Sean of the Dead”) and David Krumholtz (“Numbers”) are in talks to star in the film.
Shooting on “Inglorious Bastards“ starts in October with plans of premiering the film at Cannes Film Festival in 2009.
