Soulja Boy is back on the streets after serving 146 days of a 240-day sentence. Back in April a judge sentenced Soulja to 8 months in the in the L.A. County Jail for violating the terms of his probation following a search of his home earlier this year. Soulja was on probation for a gun 2016 gun arrest. In February 2019 he was accused of holding his ex-girlfriend captive at his home. When police arrived to search the property they discovered ammunition, a violation of his probation.
Soulja’s reprieve is the result of the rapper’s good behavior behind bars, and overcrowding is the California prison system.
